Little Hulton Library
  • The library was opened in 1960

The library was refurbished to a very high standard in 2008. It continues to be a hub of the community, with a meeting room, activities for young and old, and computers, newspapers and books for all.

The cheery chappie in this Edwardian postcard is wishing us a life free from poverty, as expressed in colourful Lancashire dialect. However, if you "want 'owt" about Little Hulton and its history, read on- this website is for you!

We aim to give a brief outline of the history of Little Hulton, and to suggest where you might find out more if you so wish.

We hope that the website will stimulate interest in local history, will be useful to help children's homework and enquiries at the library, and will serve to help local residents to know and understand the background to where they live.

As for Little Hultoners who have moved away, we hope you enjoy revisiting your home town on our website too!
